About Deb

Deborah “Deb” Mitchell is currently Executive Fellow, Center for Brand and Product Management, and Senior Marketing Lecturer at the Wisconsin School of Business. She received her Ph.D. in marketing and behavioral science from the University of Chicago. Deb has held faculty positions at the nation’s top business schools including the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford. As a consumer psychologist her scholarly work has appeared in leading research journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Advertising and the Journal of Behavioral Decision-Making. As head of Cypress Consulting, Ltd. she has worked with firms such as Bristol Myers Squibb, General Motors, Time-Warner and Syngenta to develop customer-centricity and a focus on value creation.
